Feroall Cookware

Congratulations!

You have made the right choice by investing in cast iron cookware. Like all things precious, cast iron also needs some love and care. Here are a few things you can do so that your cookware stays like its new.

Before Making Your 1st Recipe

01 - Cast Iron Use & Care

Hand wash the cookware with warm water so that it is clean and ready to use. Preheat the cookware on a low flame for about 5 minutes before increasing the heat or adding food. Use a little extra oil when cooking in the brand new cookware for the initial 3 to 4 cooks. This will build a strong seasoning base and prevent food from sticking.

Handling

02 - Cast Iron Use & Care

Feroall cookware is pre seasoned and ready to use. So for the 1st use just wash the cookware with soap and water, wipe it dry and you are all set to use it. Cast iron cookware remains hot for a long time. So it is recommended to use it on a medium to low flame. When cooking on ceramic or glass stovetop always lift the pan, do not slide or drag as this will damage cooking surface. Since it is a single mould product, handles will get hot after some time. Do not forget to use our handle covers or any other hand protection. Do not leave the cookware in the sink or soaked water for long time to avoid rusting

Heirloom Quality

03 - Cast Iron Use & Care

Let the cookware cool down before you wash it. Wash the cookware with a mild detergent and warm water. Do not use bleach. Completely dry the cookware after washing. You can wipe it with a towel or heat it on a low flame to ensure it is completely dry. Do not keep it wet for a very long time. Once the cookware is dry, apply a thin layer of oil to the entire surface of the cookware including the handles. You can use oils such as vegetable, groundnut, flaxseed or sunflower.
